Doctoral Studies – Protection

Environmental Protection; Occupational Safety; Fire Protection

Doctor of Science (in specific fields)

A student who defends their doctoral dissertation after passing all courses provided by the curriculum for six semesters receives a certificate of completion of the study program with 180 ECTS credits, specifically Doctor of Science (in specific fields) – 180 ECTS.

Doctors of Environmental Protection Science, Occupational Safety, and Fire Protection are highly educated experts dedicated to studying and understanding the interactions between human activities and the environment, as well as developing strategies and protection measures.

Doctoral programs in these fields include courses from various scientific disciplines, including chemistry, biology, geology, ecology, physics, mathematics, engineering, sociology, psychology, and others. Students also engage in research in their specialized fields, using various methods and techniques to gain a deeper understanding of the environment, occupational safety, or fire prevention and control.

Doctors of Science in these fields can work in various sectors, including industry, public administration, non-profit organizations, research institutes, and other organizations dealing with environmental protection, occupational safety, or fire prevention and control. Their work may include the development and application of new technologies, the development and application of policies and laws on environmental protection, occupational safety, or fire prevention and control, public education on issues of the environment, occupational safety, or fire prevention and control, as well as supervision over the implementation of protection measures.

Agriculture (Plant Protection)

In doctoral studies, students engage in in-depth research and make an original contribution to knowledge in the field of plant protection. Doctoral candidates will dedicate themselves to researching fundamental mechanisms of plant resistance, the evolution of pests and pathogens, the development of new technologies for precision plant protection, and other complex topics. The focus will be on conducting independent research, data collection, analysis of results, and the dissemination of scientific knowledge through the publication of papers in professional journals. Doctoral studies culminate in the creation of a doctoral dissertation.

Agriculture (Crop and Livestock Production)

In doctoral studies, students will focus on original research that contributes to advanced scientific knowledge in the domain of crop and livestock production. Doctoral candidates will work on topics that require deep analysis and an in-depth understanding of agricultural systems, protection techniques, and livestock management. The research will be independent and original, and the results will often be disseminated through publications in scientific journals and presentations at conferences. Doctoral studies culminate in the creation of a doctoral dissertation.

Food Technologies

The doctoral program will enable students to dedicate themselves deeply to original research in the field of food technology protection. These researchers will deal with complex problems related to food analysis and contamination, the application of innovative technologies in quality preservation, the impact of processing on the nutritional value of food, microbiological safety, and the like.

Doctoral candidates will develop a high level of research skills, including the ability to design experiments, collect and analyze data, think critically, and synthesize complex information. The results of their research should contribute to scientific knowledge and practical development in the field of food safety.

The goal of doctoral studies is to train experts who will be capable of independently conducting research of a high level of complexity in the field of food safety. Graduates will be prepared for work in research institutions, universities, as well as for leadership in the food industry, regulatory agencies, or the academic community.

Chemical Engineering and Technologies

The doctoral program will enable students to dedicate themselves to original research and deep analysis of complex problems concerning protection and safety in chemical processes. These researchers will deal with advanced concepts of risk analysis, the development of innovative methods for minimizing hazards, the application of advanced environmental protection techniques, and other highly specialized aspects.

During doctoral studies, students will work on independent research projects under the supervision of a mentor or supervisor. The goal of this research is to contribute to scientific knowledge and development in the field of chemical engineering with an emphasis on safety and protection. Research results will often be disseminated through publications in scientific journals and presentations at conferences.

Doctoral candidates will develop a high level of research skills, critical thinking, and the ability to solve challenges related to the safety of chemical processes. Graduates of doctoral studies will be qualified to work on highly demanding research projects, work in higher education institutions, industry, research centers, and regulatory agencies.

Biology and Ecology

The doctoral program will enable students to dedicate themselves to original research that will contribute to the development of scientific knowledge in the field of biology, ecology, and protection. Doctoral candidates will work on complex topics such as ecological interactions in ecosystems, biodiversity conservation, analysis of the impact of human activities on nature, adaptation to climate change, and similar highly specialized fields.

The goal of doctoral studies in biology and ecology is to train high-level experts who will be capable of independent and in-depth research in the field of nature conservation and environmental protection. Graduates will be qualified to work in the academic community, scientific research institutions, non-governmental organizations, and government agencies dealing with nature and ecosystem protection.
